When we decided to host a neighbourhood barbeque, we weren’t sure what the reaction would be. We just wanted a chance to get our friends (new and old) and neighbours out to taste some of our delicious burgers and steaks. Well, Winnipeg must be starving for a great (and, okay, free) barbeque, because our little shindig was promoted on CJOB in the morning and on the website of the Winnipeg Free Press. (We even made the front page of the Free Press website today, see inset.)
We ended up serving more than 250 people – from small children with their moms and dads, to business people, to some elderly folks who wanted to see what the fuss was about.

The list of Winnipeg restaurants serving Manitoba-raised premium beef from Keystone Processors is growing with the recent additions of Mise Restaurant, Billabong Australian Restaurant and Bar, Bailey’s Restaurant and Bar, and Bistro 7 ¼.
For Mise Restaurant it was more than just the quality of the beef that Keystone Processors provided, it was also the consistency. Chef Terry Gereta appreciates the time he now saves by not having to shop around for quality and is happy the solution turned out to be a local one. “The beef has been very consistent – well marbled, that consistency has been the problem with past suppliers. And it’s great that its Manitoba raised beef. ” Read more…
