national-meatsWe’ve been hard at work lately with National Meat Sales as we prepare to help the Winnipeg company launch a new brand of premium Manitoba-raised beef for the Manitoba market. National Meat Sales is one of the largest meat distributors in the province and continues to grow quickly.

The new brand will be processed exclusively by Keystone Processors and marketed and distributed by National Meat Sales. This represents one of our company’s first forays into providing white label service for other companies who are seeking high quality, local beef. Keystone aiming to bring new Kosher beef to market

sederAs Passover approaches, members of the Jewish community across Manitoba, and around the world, gather ingredients for their families’ Passover dinner celebrations.

Demand for Kosher foods has grown dramatically in recent years as many consumers (both Jewish and non-Jewish) seek them out. A USDA study showed that Canadian Kosher food sales grew from $480 million in 2000 to $575 million in 2001, a 19.7 per cent increase.

Growing population in Asia creating incredible opportunity

hongkong-marketA big part of Keystone Processors’ business planning is focused on capturing a portion of the evolving markets in the Far East. The Asian demand for food is expected to increase by 3.8 per cent per year from now until 2018.

Experts say the increase is directly related to the Asian population growth rate as well as its ongoing rush to industrialize. Both forces are putting severe strain on the region’s food supplies. Asia is now home to 4 billion people and this population’s food demand is growing at a rate higher then that of the world as a whole. Read more…
